GREENFINGERS
"GREENFINGERS" (2000)
MY THOUGHTS:
This movie was new to me and I'm very happy I decided to watch it. Based on a true story, this movie tells an interesting tale, with a well-written script and a cast of characters, played very well by a group of great actors. (I was particularly excited to see David Kelly. He is one of the most recognizable Irish actors, and truly gifted with an unassuming manner and terrific timing.) It is a nice little movie, that everyone will enjoy, but gardeners may like it a tad more! Worth the watch!
SYNOPSIS:
"The beauty and delicacy of a flower seem a sharp contrast to the rough exterior of a prison inmate. Yet these two images are exactly what writer/director Joel Hershman brings together in "Greenfingers," a story of redemption that not only tickles the funny bone but touches the soul."
STARRING:
Clive Owen, Helen Mirren, Natasha Little, David Kelly, Danny Dyer, Warren Clark, Sally Edwards and Peter Guinness
SCREENPLAY:
Joel Hershman
DIRECTOR:
Joel Hershman
AWARDS & HONORS:
It was nominated for one (1) award, at The Chicago International Film Festival, but didn't win.
