  The tenth Earl of Narbrooke is a miser. De kwestie waar je mee rondloopt kun je in een positief daglicht zien. Het kan zijn dat je een moeilijke periode hebt doorgemaakt of dat je kortgeleden een paar nare ervaringen hebt gehad. Weet dan dat aan die periode een einde komt. De verlichting die naar je toe komt zorgt voor helderheid, waardoor je (nog) beter kunt zien welke weg je zult moeten volgen. De naam duizendblad ( Achillea millefolium)  doet vermoeden dat deze plant ontelbaar veel bladeren heeft. Het uiterlijk van de plant draagt hier wel een beetje aan bij, maar in feite zijn het natuurlijk geen duizend bladeren. De bladeren van het duizendblad zijn allemaal dusdanig ver ingesneden dat het lijkt alsof het allemaal afzonderlijke bladeren zijn. In werkelijkheid zijn veel van deze ‘bladeren' onderdeel van één en hetzelfde blad. Wist je trouwens dat duizendblad is verheven tot één van de geneeskrachtige planten uit de Griekse mythologie. Volgens deze verhalen droeg duizendblad namelijk bij aan het genezen van wonden. Om die reden had Achilles altijd wat duizendblad achter de hand als hij weer ten strijde trok. Tegenwoordig wordt duizendblad vooral ontstekingsremmend gebruikt. Daarnaast gebruiken mensen het ook om de stoelgang te bevorderen en om verkoudheid tegen te gaan.

Deze kaart geeft altijd een zeer ernstige situatie aan, namelijk ziekte, dood, faillissement of iets vergelijkbaars. Er komt een einde aan iets dat waardevol voor je was. De Doodskist lijkt een harde, negatieve kaart. Toch herbergt de kaart ook een belofte in zich. Je hebt de winter nodig voor het lente kan worden en oude deuren moeten dicht voordat nieuwe deuren open kunnen. In die zin staat deze kaarten ook voor een nieuw begin. Maar... nog niet meteen nu. Nog zo'n plant die vaak gebruikt wordt om een niet zo frisse adem tegen te gaan is munt ( Mentha) . Dit komt door de menthol die in de plant zit. Deze stof ruikt fris en wordt daarom gebruikt in bijvoorbeeld pepermunt en tandpasta. Daarnaast kun je van deze plant ook nog eens heerlijke verse muntthee maken en komt deze plant in verschillende gerechten goed tot zijn recht. Munt wordt door veel mensen gebruikt om hoofdpijn of misselijkheid tegen te gaan en ook kan het jeuk verlichten. Dit laatste is bijvoorbeeld het geval bij  muggenbulten . Door de munt zachtjes over de geïrriteerde plek te wrijven neemt de jeuk af door de medicinale werking, aldus de gebruikers.

In mijn hoofd had ik een mooi onderwerp klaar euh, wat, waar? ik heb het niet opgeschreven waar is het nu gebleven het zal gevallen zijn neen, dat doet geen pijn, gevallen in dat gat wat ik voorheen niet had het gat in mijn geheugen en neen het was geen leugen alles wat niet opgeschreven is is snel hetgeen ik mis ook dat doet MS met mij ook dat komt er zomaar bij.  

Ik zou willen dat ik voor even mijn wereld met je kon delen. Deze hemelse wereld is onbeschrijfbaar mooi. Het is waar kleuren, contrasten en allerlei verschillende patronen zingen en tot leven komen. Er is een prachtig licht hier dat alles doordringt. Alles is gevuld met liefde en vreugde. Hier zul je bewust worden van het feit dat alles met elkaar verbonden is! Er is geen woede en hardheid hier; deze emoties zijn vervangen voor een overweldigende vrede en vreugde. Het is liefde zoals je nog nooit gezien hebt. Het is hemels. de plek waar ik op je wacht om je weer te ontmoeten.

Wist jij dat koriander ( Coriandrum sativum ) niet alleen als kruid gebruikt kan worden in de keuken maar dat dit ook een van de geneeskrachtige planten is? In Nederland wordt deze plant vaak gebruikt om gerechten uit de buitenlandse keuken net de  finishing touch  te geven. Dat vindt echter lang niet iedereen lekker. Voor sommige mensen heeft koriander namelijk zo'n uitgesproken smaak dat ze deze plant het liefst zouden verbannen uit de keuken. Misschien dat koriander bij hen beter scoort als geneeskrachtige plant. Het wordt namelijk gebruikt bij gewrichtspijn en tegen maag- en darmklachten. Daarnaast is het misschien wel leuk om te weten dat de zaden van koriander gebruikt worden om een stinkende adem tegen te gaan. Heb je binnenkort dus een feestje en bedenk je je te laat dat je een gerecht met knoflook hebt gegeten? Probeer dan eens om op korianderzaden te kauwen. Niemand die nog last heeft van jouw adem.
