When a Pet Goes

 When a Pet Goes

Sit with the quiet.
Hold their collar.
Fold their blanket.
Leave the bowl untouched.
Let the tears fall.
Tell their story out loud.
Walk the path anyway.
Keep the habits that steady you.
Thank them softly.
Keep moving with care.

And still say: I was their person. I loved them the best I could. Love doesn’t disappear—it shifts and remains. Let the ache guide you. Carry it forward.
