Federal-style mansion

The first photo was taken sometime in the early 1900s, and it shows the parlor of Oak Hill, a Federal-style mansion that was built by Samuel McIntire in 1801 in Peabody, Massachusetts. In 1922, this room and two others were dismantled and reassembled at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the second photo shows the present-day appearance of the reconstructed parlor. As for the original house in Peabody, it was eventually demolished in the 1950s to build the Northshore Mall.
