Holleman-Foy House
One of Eufaula, Alabama most beautiful Classical Revival/Neo Classical homes. According to the National Register of Historic Places nomination form it was built in 1907 for Judge Henry Holleman. It was designed by George Barber. This design was published as design #188 in the 5th edition of Modern Dwellings (1905) under the title "An Ideal Home". The estate was sold to William Foy in 1909.
The home contains 8,000 square feet, six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It is two stories with peppledash stucco construction. The home boasts an elegant rotunda shaped front porch with balcony. There are six Corinthian columns supporting the semicircular porch roof. Twelve Ionic columns support the balcony. The property consists of 0.68 of an acre.
After the passing of Mrs. Emma Foy, an estate sale was held and the house was subsequently put on the market. It is listed at $397,000.
