When your child says they’re mad at you

When your child says they’re mad at you, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

It means you’ve created a space where they feel safe enough to express real emotions.
It means you’ve built trust.
It means they know their feelings won’t make you love them any less.

You are their safe place.
Even in the hard moments.
Even when their words sting.
You’re teaching them that love can hold space for big feelings.
And that’s something they’ll carry with them for life.
