It was never the baby

 It was never the baby.

It’s the way we’re expected to bounce back like nothing changed.
It’s how we’re handed a brand new life and told to figure it out alone.
It’s the guilt we carry for wanting rest. For needing help. For not doing it all perfectly.

It’s the nights we cry in the dark, not because of the baby, but because we feel like we’re failing.
It’s the silence when we need someone to ask how we’re doing.
It’s the pressure to be grateful, even when we’re drowning.

It was never about the baby.
It’s the missing village.
It’s the broken system.
It’s the expectations that forget we’re human.

You’re not broken.
You were just never meant to do this alone.
