On holidays

On holidays, it’s so easy to get caught up in the scroll.

The matching outfits. The big gifts. The perfectly decorated tables.

But what you don’t see in those pictures are the tantrums, the stress, the tears that might have come before the smiles.

So if your holiday looks a little different, that’s okay.

If the only “matching” thing was everyone wearing pajamas until noon.
If the gifts were small but filled with meaning.
If the house was messy but full of laughter.

That is still magic.

Your kids won’t remember the perfect photo.
They’ll remember how it felt to be loved.
To be seen.
To have you right there with them.

Your presence is the real present.
And however you show up is more than enough.
