Joshua Ryan Evans (1982–2002), a talented actor whose performances touched audiences with warmth, humor, and heart. Evans is best remembered for his role as Timmy Lenox on the soap opera Passions, where he brought charm and depth to the character despite having the appearance and voice of a small child due to achondroplasia.Evans began his career at just twelve, appearing in television commercials before moving to film. He made his debut in Baby Geniuses (1999) and later portrayed the young Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). He also appeared as General Tom Thumb in the A&E original movie P.T. Barnum and made guest appearances on shows like Ally McBeal, 7th Heaven, and Poltergeist: The Legacy. For his work on Passions, he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination and won two Soap Opera Digest Awards.
Joshua Evans passed away on August 5, 2002, at the age of 20 during surgery to correct a congenital heart condition. He is interred at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, alongside his mother, who joined him in 2016, leaving behind a legacy of extraordinary talent and inspiration.
