Sometimes I still find myself sitting in our old spot

Sometimes I still find myself sitting in our old spot — the one where you’d rest your head on my knee while the world slowed down around us. If I close my eyes, I can almost feel your warmth again, hear the soft sound of your breathing blending with the wind.

Life keeps moving, but a part of me stayed in those quiet moments — the ones filled with peace, love, and everything unspoken. Losing you left a space nothing else can fill, a silence that feels sacred.

Yet on still evenings, when the sky blushes and the air grows calm, I swear you’re near. In the hush between heartbeats, I feel you — not gone, just changed. Watching with me. Sitting quietly, like you always did.
