THE WOMAN IN GREEN

 "THE WOMAN IN GREEN" --- (1945) ---

MY THOUGHTS: This is the 11th of 14 films, based on the characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I first saw these films as a young girl and immediately took to them. They really captured my imagination, and I couldn't get enough of them. It wasn't until I was an adult that I truly appreciated their quality and the way in which they were filmed. They are wonderful films, and this one is no exception.
SYNOPSIS: "When a number of attractive women are found dead and with fingers missing, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson investigate. Though evidence points to a psychotic killer, Holmes begins to believe that there's more to the case than initially meets the eye, a notion that leads him to uncover the involvement of his archenemy, Professor Moriarty. Who is working with Moriarty on such a dastardly plot and what are their motives?"
STARRING: Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, Henry Daniell, Hillary Brooke, Eve Amber and Sally Shepherd.
SCREENPLAY: Bertram Millhauser; Based on characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
DIRECTOR: Roy William Neill
