The Partridge Family

 David Cassidy and the cast from the hit TV sitcom, The Partridge Family. Cast included his step mom, Shirley Jones, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, Suzanne Crough and Jeramy Gelbwaks. Little Suzanne died young, at the age of 42, from a rare form of cardiomyopathy. Susa Dey went on to have a successful career on the hit courtroom drama series, L.A. Law in the 80s, Shirley Jones claimed in her memoir that Day was the only cast member to refuse to participate in Partridge Family reunions. Maybe that had something to do with her complicated relationship with David. Clearly David was the breakout star of this beloved show, It has always amazed me how many sitcoms in the 70s were based on some really traumatic event such as the death of a parent, or parents in the case of Family Affair. The father had passed away in this show and now they all had to sing for their supper.
