Motherhood

Motherhood didn’t turn me into someone who says no out of spite. It turned me into someone who says no with love.

I became careful with where I pour my time. Who gets my energy. What truly deserves my yes.

It’s not that I shut down or closed off. I just grew to protect what matters most. My babies. My heart. My peace.

If that means being more selective with my time, my words, my love, then that’s exactly what motherhood was meant to teach me.

My kids deserve the best of me. Not what’s left of me.
