It blows my mind
It blows my mind how normal it is for adults to cozy up to their partners at night, to slip on an eye mask or snuggle under a weighted blanket, just to feel safe enough to drift off to sleep.
But when a tiny human needs the warmth of their mama’s arms, or the comfort of a heartbeat close by, they’re labeled as “needy,” “spoiled,” or “too dependent.”Our babies are wired to crave closeness.
It’s not a bad habit.
It’s not something to fix.
It’s biology.
And honestly, if we as grown adults still look for comfort to help us sleep, why wouldn’t our little ones?
Let them need you.
Let them feel secure.
Because one day, they won’t reach for your hand quite the same way.
