MRS. MINIVER
"MRS. MINIVER" --- (1942))
MY THOUGHTS ... I hadn't seen this one before and was excited to watch it. I am very glad I did, because I found it to be very enjoyable! The story is very compelling and well-written, which includes how well-defined the roles are. I thought Greer Garson was incredibly good and was (pleasantly) surprised by the "appearance" of a young Walter Pidgeon, as I have only seen him as a much older gentleman up to now. He also gave a wonderful performance. It is worth the watch for sure! Which is most definitely why it won so many awards and was a critical success.
