A meltdown is not a tantrum

A meltdown is not a tantrum. It’s not a choice, a manipulation, or bad behavior.

It’s a sign that a brain is overwhelmed that it’s run out of ways to cope.

When your child melts down, they don’t need shame or punishment.
They need safety.
They need calm.
They need you.

Because it’s not about control it’s about connection.
