Patricia Hitchcock


 Patricia Hitchcock (1928–2021), the only child of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock and Alma Reville. Patricia appeared in several of her father’s iconic films, including Stage Fright (1950), where she doubled for Jane Wyman in “danger driving” scenes, as well as Strangers on a Train (1951) and Psycho (1960). She also contributed to ten episodes of the television anthology Alfred Hitchcock Presents, showcasing her talent in both film and television.

Beyond her father’s projects, Patricia had small roles in films like The Mudlark (1950) and Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments (1956), carving out her own place in Hollywood history. She married Joseph E. O’Connell, Jr. in 1952, and together they raised three daughters. Patricia remained devoted to her family throughout her life, outliving her husband by nearly three decades.

Patricia Hitchcock passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 93. She is interred at Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California, leaving a legacy intertwined with cinema history.
