'La Chapelle de L’ange au Violon'
'La Chapelle de L’ange au Violon' is a beautifully, crumbling 19th Century chapel, located in the south of France.
The dilapidated family chapel, lies within the grounds of a house.
Although the house itself is inhabited, with the house and grounds immaculately maintained ~ the chapel has been left to be reclaimed by nature.
The name translates to “The Chapel of the Angel with the Violin'.
The tall vaulted Gothic ceiling, sadly is collapsing.
Most of the stained glass windows lay empty, the glass naturally dislodging, as the decades progress.
The large and beautiful stained-glass rose window, which sits above the entrance, is remarkably well-preserved.
