Phoebe Halliwell
"Phoebe Halliwell and the times she was no longer herself
In Charmed, Phoebe Halliwell is always portrayed as the youngest sister with personality, many emotions and easily moved. But it is also that sensitivity and desire for love that has caused Phoebe to fall into a state of obsession, manipulation or no longer being herself many times. This is also an important part of her journey to maturity.
When Phoebe was obsessed with Cole/Belthazor
The fateful love affair with Cole Turner is one of the most complicated stories of Charmed. Even though she knew he was Belthazor - a powerful demon - Phoebe was still caught up in love. At times, she was so blind that she accepted the darkness just to be with him. It was this obsession that almost made Phoebe lose herself, forgetting her responsibility as a Powerful Witch.
When Phoebe Becomes the Dark Queen
This is the most obvious “not herself” moment. Pregnant with Cole’s child, Phoebe’s soul is taken over by darkness. She wears the crown and rules as The Queen of the Underworld, turning her back on her sisters and her own heart. Although it is only for a short time, it shows that Phoebe is easily swayed when love and darkness combine.
When manipulated by magic
In many episodes, Phoebe has been controlled by spells or demons:
Being transformed into a super villain in “Wrestling with Demons”.
Affected by memories, causing her to act irrationally.
Times when love spells backfire, turning her into someone else, losing control of herself.
When her heart is a “curse”
Perhaps what makes Phoebe lose herself many times is not magic, but her weak heart. She loves fiercely, trusts wholeheartedly, and when betrayed or hurt, she easily falls prey to darkness.
Phoebe Halliwell may be a witch of intuition and emotion, but those emotions also make her haunted or lose herself many times. However, thanks to that, she becomes more real, more approachable - an ordinary woman on an extraordinary journey.
