The Yvoire Castle

The Yvoire Castle was built in 1306 by Count Amedeo V of Savoy and subsequently witnessed many medieval wars. In 1592 it was partially destroyed by the army of the Republic of Geneva (only the current donjon remains), but was rebuilt in the twentieth century. Behind it, the old vegetable garden has been transformed into a tourist botanical garden (Labyrinthe Jardin des Cinq Sens).
