THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS
"THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS" (1954)
MY THOUGHTS: I have seen this movie several times now and I find it gets better with each viewing. It is sweet and joyful, as well as tragic in parts, but there are true love stories; of some manner for each of the characters, that represent a range in the type of relationship, which are all troubled or lost in some manner and in need of healing, rather than retribution. It is beautiful and can bring you to tears. The writing and acting are fabulous. Elizabeth Taylor looks amazing, and her acting is some of her best. Van Johnson is terrific, and so is the rest of the cast! Donna Reed holds her own in every scene! It is one of my favorite movies.
