Melinda’s necklace

"The necklace glinted softly in Phoebe’s hand as she entered the living room. Piper was making tea, and Prue was still flipping through her notes in the Book of Shadows.

“I was just trying on Melinda’s necklace,” Phoebe said, her voice a little dreamy. “You know, I feel like… I can hear her in my head.”

Prue looked up, her eyes shining. “What did you hear?”

“Just a whisper… She said, ‘Protect each other. Your strength is in love.’”

The three sisters were silent for a moment, as if Melinda’s voice still echoed through the house. Outside, the wind blew softly through the curtains, carrying with it the scent of old things."
