Before you ask a mom
Before you ask a mom when she’s having another baby, please pause.
You never know what someone has been through. Maybe her birth was traumatic. Maybe her healing has taken longer than she ever expected. Maybe her body still hurts in ways no one sees. Maybe her heart does too.
Some moms are still processing their experience. Still grieving the expectations that didn’t match reality. Still finding pieces of themselves they lost in delivery rooms and recovery beds.
We don’t talk about that enough.
So instead of asking “when’s the next one,” try asking how she’s doing. How she’s really doing.

Because being a mom is already enough. She is already enough. And sometimes just surviving that journey is more than anyone will ever know.
