MARKED WOMAN
"MARKED WOMAN" --- (1937) ---
MY THOUGHTS:
I had never heard of this film until I ran into it the other day. Both Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart are young in it and they both did, as always, a very god job. It was an interesting premise and quite the melodrama. I would recommend it to others, if for no other reason, than to see these two actors play against each other early on in their careers.

When Mary's innocent sister, Betty, gets mixed up in Vanning's racket and winds up dead, Mary finally yields to pressure from the District Attorney and agrees to testify against Vanning in court, regardless of the death threats she receives from his henchmen."

Lloyd Bacon
