Rawhead Rex

"Rawhead Rex" is a horror film released in 1986, directed by George Pavlou and written by Clive Barker. The film is based on Barker's short story of the same name, which was published in his "Books of Blood" collection.

The story revolves around an ancient monstrous entity named Rawhead Rex, who is inadvertently released from his prison in rural Ireland. Rawhead Rex is a towering, grotesque creature with immense strength and a thirst for blood. As he wreaks havoc upon the countryside, a local historian named Howard Hallenbeck becomes aware of the creature's existence and attempts to stop its rampage.

While "Rawhead Rex" has gained a cult following over the years, it's often criticized for its low-budget production values and deviations from the source material. However, it remains an intriguing entry in Clive Barker's body of work and a notable piece of 1980s horror cinema.
