The Perito Moreno Glacier


◉ The Perito Moreno Glacier is an Argentine glacier that extends from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, on the border between Argentina and Chile, to the southern arm of Lake Argentino, measuring five kilometers wide and 60 meters high. The glacier is considered one of the most important freshwater reserves in the world.
◉ Located in an area surrounded by forests and mountains, it is within the Los Glaciares National Park, created in 1937 in the province of Santa Cruz, located in southern Argentina. This park, covering 724,000 hectares, has a total of 356 glaciers.
