Ethiopian Jews

For thousands of years Ethiopian Jews dreamed of returning home to Jerusalem.
Beginning in the late 1970s thousands of Ethiopian Jews packed up their lives and embarked on a treacherous journey to Israel, seeking refuge and longing to reunite with their ancestral homeland.
Due to the dangerous route and difficult conditions along the way, 4,000 men, women and children died before reaching Israel.
Today, ahead of Jerusalem Day we commemorate their lives & pay tribute to their resilience, strength, and unwavering determination.
May their memory be a blessing.
