The Halliwell Woman's Oath

 "The Halliwell Woman's Oath (1923)

San Francisco, 1923. In the old attic of 1329 Prescott Street, a 17-year-old girl named Beatrice Halliwell – great-grandmother of Prue, Piper, Phoebe – trembles before the Book of Shadows.

The book is whispering.

Not with words, but with feeling. The pages turn automatically when her hand touches it. She has not inherited the power – but today, that will change. A generational decision.

Beatrice is about to enter a sacred ritual called the ""Binding of the Line"" – a clan blood oath to protect the book, to preserve its power for future generations. If she refuses, the Halliwell magic will dilute – and the danger of darkness taking over will grow.

Next to her is her mother – Millicent Halliwell, a powerful witch who once faced off against a notorious warlock from Italy. Millicent holds her daughter’s hand and whispers:

“Magic is not a weapon. It is a responsibility. If you swear today, you will no longer live for yourself.”

Beatrice cries. She loves a human boy, and swearing this oath means she can no longer live a normal life. But after a moment of silence… she places her hand on the page marked with the blood of her first ancestor – Melinda Warren – and says:

“I swear this oath. For all those who will come after me. Even if I never meet them.”

A cold wind blows through the attic. The book glows. The oath is engraved in the Halliwell blood – so that 80 years from now, the three Halliwell sisters will accidentally touch the book and awaken their destiny."
