Patty McCormack as “Rhoda Penmark” in Mervyn LeRoy’s American psychological thriller film ‘The Bad Seed’ (1956). The film, for Warner Brothers Pictures, is adapted from the 1954 play of the same name by Maxwell Anderson, which in turn is adapted from William March's 1954 novel of the same name. The screenplay adaptation was written by John Lee Mahin.

Patricia “Patty” McCormack (born August 21, 1945) is an American actress with a career in theater, films, and television. McCormack began her career as a child actress. She received critical acclaim for the role of “Rhoda Pembroke” both on Broadway, where she also played the character onstage in the play, and she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Mervyn LeRoy's film adaptation.
Her acting career has continued with both starring and supporting roles in film and television, including playing “Helen Keller” in the original Playhouse 90 production of ‘The Miracle Worker’ (1957), as Jeffrey Tambor's wife “Anne Brookes” on the ABC Network sitcom television programme series ‘The Ropers’ (1979-1980), also starring Norman Fell and Audra Lindley, and as “Pat Nixon” in Ron Howard’s historical drama film ‘Frost/Nixon’ (2008), also featuring Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Rebecca Hall, Toby Jones, Matthew Macfadyen, Oliver Platt, and Sam Rockwell.
