Castle of Fénis
Castle of Fénis (Castello di Fenis / Château de Fénis), Italy.
Built between XII-XV centuries, transformed in XVIII century into a rural farm and then abandoned, it was bought by the state and restored between 1895-1906. The medievalist current promoted by Mussolini's fascist regime would bring serious architectural interventions between 1936-1942, the most obvious of which is the construction of the double enclosure wall, which seriously affected the visibility of the castle itself.
