They say my baby is clingy like it’s a bad thing

 They say my baby is clingy like it’s a bad thing.

Like attachment is a flaw.
Like needing me is a weakness.
Like I should hurry them out of it.

But this is biology, not a bad habit.
This is a nervous system learning safety.
This is a tiny human saying you are my home.

Clingy just means loved.
It means I’m the place they regulate.
The place they trust.
The place they land.

Independence doesn’t come from being pushed away.
It comes from being held long enough to feel secure.

So yeah.
My baby is clingy.
And I’m not fixing that.
