If you don’t like me, that’s fine

If you don’t like me, that’s fine.

That’s your business.

But my child is not collateral damage.

They didn’t ask to be born into grown-up opinions, quiet grudges, or unspoken resentment.
They didn’t earn your cold shoulder.
They don’t deserve to feel the weight of feelings that aren’t theirs.

The moment you treat my child differently because of how you feel about me, you’ve told me everything I need to know.

And here’s what you should understand clearly.
I will always choose my child.
Every room. Every relationship. Every time.

I will remove access.
I will set the boundary.
I will protect their peace without apology.

Because my child’s happiness will never come second to someone else’s bitterness.
