Just ask for help
“Just ask for help.”
As if the problem is that I didn’t think of it.As if I’m not already tracking everyone’s needs, schedules, moods, meals, appointments, and messes.
As if asking doesn’t still require planning, explaining, delegating, and following up.
Asking for help is still work.
It still lives on my mental to-do list.
It still makes me the manager instead of the one being cared for.
What most moms actually need isn’t help they have to request.
It’s support that notices.
Initiative that steps in.
Relief that doesn’t need instructions.
So no.
I don’t need to “just ask.”
I need it to not all fall on me in the first place.
