BULLITT
"BULLITT" (1968)
This action / thriller is a true classic. Even its car, driven by Steve McQueen, is a "star" in its own right. It was part of a major car chase scene, that is considered the best ever filmed. It stars Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn and Jacqueline Bisset. It also has a strong supporting cast that includes Georg Stanford Brown, Vic Tayback, Norman Fell, Bill Hickman and Robert Duvall. It was nominated for 2 Academy Awards and won 1 for "Best Film Editing," which is why it was included in the schedule. It was nominated for 13 additional awards, from various entities, and took home 5 of them. In 2007 it was selected for preservation by The National Film Registry.
