i’m raising her to question
to speak up
to trust that feeling in her chest
and not ignore it just to keep the peace

to say “no” and mean it
to ask “why” without fear
to stand her ground
even when it would be easier not to

i’m raising her to think for herself
to know her voice has weight
and that it deserves to be heard

she won’t be the quiet one in the room
she’ll be the one who knows who she is

and isn’t afraid to show it
