Jack Holt


Fay Wray and Jack Holt in Frank Capra’s Pre-Code adventure movie for Columbia Pictures ‘Dirigible’ (1931), also starring Ralph Graves and Hobart Bosworth. Jack Holt appeared in movies, especially Westerns, from 1914 to 1951, with many movie appearances during the silent movie and Pre-Code periods. Later he appeared as “Colonel Morrison” in David Butler’s musical drama ‘The Littlest Rebel’ (1935), showcasing child-star Shirley Temple, and also starring John Boles, Karen Morley, and Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, and in John Ford’s war movie ‘They Were Expendable’ (1945), also starring Robert Montgomery, John Wayne, Leon Ames, and Donna Reed. Remembering actor Jack Holt (31st May, 1888 - 19th January, 1951).
