Angela Lansbury

British actress, Dame Angela Lansbury DBE, and New York City born Hurd Hatfield at the legendary Hollywood hang-out “Schwab’s Pharmacy”, at 8024 Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, in 1945. At the time the two young aspiring thespians starred together, Hurd Hatfield as “Dorian Gray”, and Angela Lansbury as “Sibyl Vane”, in Albert Lewin’s horror-drama movie adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s 1890 novel “The Portrait of Dorian Gray” (1945), for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and also starring George Sanders, Donna Reed, Peter Lawford, Lowell Gilmore, Lilian Bond, Reginald Owen, and Sir Cedric Hardwicke as the narrator.
