Nancy Carroll
Nancy Carroll, born 1903 New York, NY and started on Broadway and began making films during the late silent era transitioning to sound. She made some popular musicals with Charles 'Buddy' Rogers but she was an excellent dramatic actress as well receiving an Oscar nomination for her performance in "The Devil's Holiday" losing to Norma Shearer. Her career waned in the later thirties with her last film in 1938 and she returned to Broadway but made numerous television appearances between 1950 and 1963. She died of a heart attack on August 6, 1965 at the age of 61 in New York, NY.
