Lewis Michael Arquette
Lewis Michael Arquette (December 14, 1935 – February 10, 2001)Arquette was known for playing J.D. Pickett on the television series, The Waltons, where he worked from 1978 to 1981. He was a part of the famous Arquette family, as son of Cliff Arquette and the father of actors Patricia, Alexis, Rosanna, David and Richmond Arquette. He is the former father-in-law of actress Courteney Cox, film composer James Newton Howard, and actors Thomas Jane and Nicolas Cage. Arquette frequently appeared in movies with his sons. In the 1970s, he appeared in dozens of television shows such as 'Alice', 'Lou Grant', 'Barney Miller', 'Dallas', 'St. Elsewhere', 'Rocky Road', 'ALF', 'Matlock', 'L.A. Law', 'Seinfeld' and 'Spawn'. His movie credits include 'The China Syndrome' (1979), 'Off the Wall' (1983), 'Just Between Friends' (1986), 'Tango & Cash' (1989), 'Sleep with Me' (1994), 'Waiting for Guffman' (1996), 'Little Nicky' and 'Best in Show' (both 2000). Arquette was married from 1963 until his wife's death in 1997. Arquette died in Los Angeles, California, in 2001 at age 65, due to congestive heart failure. He is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
