Go by the baby, not by the book

“Go by the baby, not by the book.”

Because your baby isn’t a checklist. They’re a whole little person with their own pace, their own needs, their own magic.

The books can be helpful, sure. But they don’t know your baby the way you do. They don’t see the way their eyes search for you when they’re unsure. They don’t hear the little sighs when they finally fall asleep on your chest. They don’t know the quiet victories that happen in your home every single day.

Every child is different. Every mama is different. And there’s no perfect way to do this.

We’re all just loving our babies the best we know how. Learning as we go. Showing up, even on the hard days.

So please don’t let a book make you feel like you’re not enough.
Your baby doesn’t need perfection.
They just need you.
