We have to stop romanticizing mistreatment

We have to stop romanticizing mistreatment.

Stop telling our daughters that when a boy teases, mocks, or hurts them, it’s “because he likes them.”
That’s not love. That’s confusion.
And it teaches girls to accept pain as affection to stay when someone disrespects them, to confuse chaos for care.

Teach her instead that love sounds like kindness.
That real affection feels safe.
That the right people won’t make her question her worth or her place in their life.

Let her grow up knowing that love never needs to hurt to be real.
