Let kids be kids

 Let kids be kids.

Let them run barefoot in the grass.
Let them laugh too loud.
Let them make messes and learn how to clean them up.
Let them cry when they need to and feel safe doing it.
Let them be silly, curious, wild, and full of questions.

Because when we let kids be kids
we’re breaking the cycle of
“sit still”
“be quiet”
“don’t cry.”

We’re teaching them that their voice matters,
their emotions are valid,
and they are worthy of love exactly as they are.

That’s how the healing starts
not just for them,
but for us too.
