Your body didn’t fail you
Your body didn’t fail you.
It did the hardest thing there is.It stretched. It carried. It labored. It healed.
It made room for another human and then learned how to live again.
So when you look in the mirror and feel conflicted, that tug between pride and grief, hear this. Nothing about you is ruined. Nothing was lost. This body is not a before-and-after comparison. It’s a record of strength.
The softness.
The scars.
The changes you didn’t ask for.
They’re not flaws. They’re proof.
You don’t have to love every inch of yourself every day. You don’t have to pretend it’s easy. But you don’t get to call a body that built life anything less than powerful.
You are not less beautiful now.
You are different.
And different is not a downgrade.
This body shows up.
This body holds children.
This body keeps going.
And that deserves respect.
