Phoebe and the Mermaid Costume

 "Phoebe and the Mermaid Costume

No one could attract the eyes more than Phoebe Buffay when she entered in a gorgeous mermaid costume.

The shimmering, tight-fitting blue dress with a long fishtail that swept the floor made her every move both graceful and… quite difficult. On her head, Phoebe wore a crown made of small seashells, along with a pearl-adorned magic wand that she held in her hand like a true ocean goddess.

Chandler raised his eyebrows, trying not to laugh:
— “Wow, Phoebe, where did the mermaid come from? A magical sea, huh?”

Phoebe smiled brightly, twirling around (though she almost fell because of the mermaid tail).

— “That’s pretty close, Chandler! I’m from Atlantis—and don’t forget, I have magical powers.”

Joey crossed his arms, nodding impressively:
— “I have to admit, you do look… like a mermaid.”

Ross asked curiously:
— “But how do you walk with that tail?”

Phoebe sighed, waving her wand in the air as if chanting a spell:
— “I’ve been practicing all morning! But I was supposed to have a dolphin as a means of transportation, but Mike didn’t agree to that.”

Everyone laughed. Of course, only Phoebe could think of such a strange thing.

Despite her difficulty moving around, Phoebe still ran around the bar, posing, taking pictures with everyone and even singing a special version of Smelly Cat with an ocean theme:

— “Mermaid Cat, Mermaid Cat, why do you swim so weird?”

The costume party that day became a memorable one, not only because of the fun costumes, but also because of the brilliance, magic and adorable “craziness” that Phoebe brought."
