A baby who cries a lot isn’t broken

A baby who cries a lot isn’t broken.

They’re not spoiled.
They’re not trying to control you.
They’re just asking for something they don’t have the words for yet.

They’re asking for love.
For comfort.
For safety.
For connection.
The only way they know how.

You’re not ruining them by picking them up.
You’re not being “too soft.”
You’re not creating bad habits.
You’re teaching them that they matter.
That they’re safe.
That someone will come when they need help.

If it feels heavy, that’s because it is.
If it feels overwhelming, it’s because you care so much.
But your love is more than enough.
And you’re not failing.
You’re the one showing up.
Even on the hard days.
That’s everything.
