Theo Vos Dutch sculptor (1887-1948)
He was a student at the Minerva Academy in Groningen and in Brussels he wasa pupil of CH. Rousseau. Afterwards he went to Paris for a few years and to other international cities. Finally he settled in Haarlem.
He was a member of the Amsterdamse Arti et Amicitiae and of the Amsterdamse School movement. He died in 1948 in Haarlem.
For the Hutschenreuth art department Theo Vos created a series of ten designs, which were presented at the Leipzig fair from 1925/26 onwards. They also included three dance studies. The expressive dancer Gertud Leistikow has been identified as the model for at least two figures.
