Little House on the Prairie
So I’ve been rewatching Little House on the Prairie and suddenly feeling like I was born in the wrong century. I loved it as a kid, but I think I appreciate it even more now.
Everything just looks so simple. Family dinners, neighbors helping each other, no social media or spam calls.
I told someone the other day I wanted to live back then. They didn’t even blink before saying something like “You’d last about five minutes without Wi-Fi, hot showers, and an indoor toilet.”
Rude.
But also….accurate.
Okay, let’s be honest. I don’t actually want to travel by wagon, haul water from a well, or use an outhouse, but there is something beautiful about the way they valued family, faith, and community. The way they cared and showed up for each other is something I wish we could bring back.
Or maybe I’m just crushing on Charles Ingalls in his suspenders.
Either way, if you want something different from the usual noise, something people online would probably call “wholesome,” and something that reminds you of what really matters, give it a watch.
