I used to think being a good mom meant having it all together

I used to think being a good mom meant having it all together.

Never raising my voice. Never crying in front of them. Always knowing the right thing to say.
But I’ve learned it’s the little green flags that matter most.

It’s saying “I’m sorry” when I mess up.
It’s letting my kids cry, and reminding them they’re safe to feel.
It’s choosing connection over control.
It’s letting them be wildly, beautifully themselves—even if that looks different than I expected.

I’m not the perfect mom.
But I’m the kind who listens.
Who’s willing to unlearn.
Who hugs tight on the hard days.
Who shows up, over and over again.
And to me, that’s everything.

Keep showing those green flags. Even the smallest ones are breaking cycles.
