Just because someone shares your DNA

Just because someone shares your DNA doesn’t mean they deserve access to your children.

Being a grandparent, aunt, or uncle doesn’t come with automatic rights.
Love, consistency, and respect are what earn you a place in their lives.

If you couldn’t show up for me, why would I trust you to show up for them?

Boundaries aren’t cruel they’re protection.
And as a mother, my job is to protect my children, even from those who call themselves “family.”

It’s not bitterness.
It’s peace.
It’s breaking cycles and choosing better for them than what we were given.
