If your child is sick please, keep them home
If your child is sick please, keep them home.
I know it’s hard.I know you have work, deadlines, errands, and a life that doesn’t stop just because your little one caught something.
But they need rest more than routine.
And other kids need protection more than perfect attendance.
When you send them to school sick, you’re not just risking someone else catching it you’re delaying their own recovery, too. Their body is asking for rest, for fluids, for quiet time curled up in bed. Not fluorescent lights and crowded classrooms.
We have to stop normalizing pushing through illness in ourselves and in our kids.
Teaching them that it’s okay to slow down, that their health comes first, is one of the most valuable lessons we can give.
The world will still be there when they’re better.
Let them heal.
Let them rest.
And let’s all be a little more considerate of each other’s families this season.
